Jai Waite has edited over 300 episodes of television, as well as feature documentaries and online content, including award-winning series Miss Amazing. In 2014 & 2016 Jai was awarded Best Editor at the Apollo Awards (Asia/Pacific), and 2018 & 2019 Best Editor (Australia/ at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.

As a wheelchair user himself since a diving accident resulted in spinal cord injury in his twenties, Jai is passionate about authentic representation of disability. Jai is also a Paralympic Gold medallist, being part of the world champion Wheel Blacks wheelchair rugby team in Athens 2004.
